“My name is Dustin Phan and I’ve been going to Bogart First Baptist Church for about 3 years. When I started going I was 18, not a Christian, and I did not have any interest in religion or having a relationship with God. I started going because my girlfriend invited me, so I thought, “Why not? I’ll give it a try.” When it came time to meet and greet the people in church I was met with the most warm and welcoming response. The congregation seemed to genuinely care about my presence and about making me feel welcomed in their church. The love the church showed for me was a big part of what led me to commit my life to Christ less than a year after I first set foot inside the sanctuary.
The church has become a home, and everyone in the congregation has become a family to me. Bogart First Baptist is a place I can come to feeling happy and leave feeling even happier and praising the Lord. I can come to church feeling upset and leave feeling loved by God and rejoicing in my salvation. I can always count on the church to lift my spirits no matter what mood I’m in or what I’m going through. The love everyone has for each other is something I have never felt before, and it has changed my life forever. Bogart First Baptist Church calls itself “a small church with a big heart”, and I definitely agree with that. This small church was the starting place for me to experience God’s love, and God’s love continues to be revealed every time I enter into those doors.”

“When my family and I were looking for a church home, we tried every kind of church we could. Large churches, all kinds of denominations, and all sizes. We were looking for a church that would help our family grow closer to God and learn about his word. When we walked into Bogart First Baptist Church for the first time we felt welcomed, loved, and a part of the church family. We fell in love with this church and our church family. We have been members several months now and look forward to attending every week. It is Gods’ house and our home. A home for all of us to worship in and have fellowship. “When my husband and I got married and moved to Oconee County from Monroe we were both still working, my husband on the weekends with one off every fourth weekend. I was looking for a church and had tried several but did not find one that I felt close to God.
We moved to Bogart and I looked around there and I found the perfect church were I really felt closer than I have felt in a long time.

those doors was overwhelming. The church members have become the greatest gift from God.
I have been a membership for for four years and my husband had been going for three years. He joined the church this past Easter and was baptized June 12th. He passed away July 28 but I am so ever thankful that he did what he wanted and that was to be baptized before he passed away. He is now with our Lord and savior.
Along with my family, the church family have been of great support to me through this time in my life.
I am so blessed I found Bogart First Baptist Church and a wonderful church family and all the help they gave to my husband and me and are still giving to me.
